ANAB Accreditation for Aerospace Management Systems

The aerospace AS standards contain the requirements of ISO 9001 and additional industry requirements. Some major aerospace manufacturers recommend their suppliers be AS certified. This certification must be issued by CBs accredited to the AS standards by a body recognized by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) or the Americas Aerospace Quality Group (AAQG). ANAB is recognized to accredit CBs to AS9100, AS9120, and AS9003.

A CB must conform to ISO/IEC 17021 and be accredited for ISO9001 by ANAB (or another IAF MLA signatory) for a year prior to applying for AS accreditation. AS9100 and AS9110 are based on ISO9001 and are subordinate standards in ANAB's fee schedule. AS9120 and AS9003 are subordinate to AS9110.
