World Accreditation Day 2013 will be celebrated around the globe on June 9. This year's theme - Accreditation: Facilitating World Trade - was selected because it is relevant in both developed and developing economies.
ANAB's Randy Dougherty, chair of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF), and Peter Unger, chair of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) issued a joint statement for World Accreditation Day. In the statement, they said, "It is vital, not only for individuals and organizations but for national and international economic health, that products and services can cross borders to meet global demand without causing undue risk to the health and security of individuals or the environment.
IAF and ILAC have developed material to support World Accreditation Day events and promotional efforts. These include the joint statement from the IAF and ILAC chairs, promotional video, and a promotional poster and brochure. The poster and brochure are available in medium-resolution versions; high-resolution versions suitable for printing are available from the ILAC website.
