Technical Areas for QMS, EMS, and OHSMS

ANAB and IAAR are cooperating on a project to identify technical areas for QMS, EMS and OHSMS, the results of which are accessible from this page. This is a work in progress that ANAB is updating periodically in response to additional input received.

The project is to identify for each NACE code (1) the key processes for making the product or providing the service, which would be the technical areas for QMS, (2) the key environmental aspects for EMS that result from the processes, and (3) the key worker health and safety aspects for OHSMS.

For more information on what's meant by "technical areas," please refer to the examples in ISO/IEC 17021, section 7.1.2.

If you'd like to contribute to the project by providing input for incomplete areas, send e-mail to ANAB with "Technical Areas Project" in the subject line. To help ANAB administer the project, please indicate the sections for which you'd like to provide input (for example, 01.11 key processes, 01.11 key environmental aspects, and 01.11 key worker health and safety issues). In reply, ANAB will provide you with a form to complete with your input.
