Introduction to ISO/IEC 17025

Course Description

The 1.5-day Introduction to ISO/IEC 17025 training course will help attendees understand and apply the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2005. Attendees will examine the origins of the standard and learn practical concepts such as document control, internal auditing, proficiency testing, traceability, measurement uncertainty, and method witnessing.

  • Gain an understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements
  • Learn how a quality manual is designed and audited
  • Examine the origin of the standard, the benefits of accreditation, and the role of accreditation bodies


Who Should Attend

Those involved with the standard and potentially seeking accreditation should attend this course. This could include top-level managers who require a fundamental understanding, as well as junior staff who need an overview of the standard. Individuals new to a company can also gain perspective in this course. For more in-depth training, the Internal Auditing to ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO/IEC 17025 Lead Assessor training courses are recommended.
