Forensics Accreditation Manager

The Forensics Accreditation Manager understands business strategy, accreditation requirements, industry knowledge, and customer expectations, and ensures accreditation programs meet requirements for competence, conformance, effectiveness, timing, and impartiality.

The Forensics Accreditation Manager provides technical assistance to staff, accreditation assessors, and customers; helps design and maintain accreditation processes; identifies and develops accreditation assessors and experts and monitors their performance; ensures assessments are completed by competent teams and appropriately documented; participates in accreditation assessments to maintain field knowledge; manages customer communication and workflow; manages nonconformities; manages complaints and provides technical support for appeals; makes accreditation decisions based on assessment results and recommendations; participates in internal audits and responds to findings; attends trade shows and participates in standards-developing and industry-related groups; and other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college is required and a graduate degree is preferred. A strong forensics technical background is required. Five or more years of related forensics experience is preferred. Fifteen or more years of related forensics technical experience could substitute for a bachelor’s degree.

Applicants should have experience leading a team or managing people and leading projects; excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; diplomacy, tact, and confidence; excellent customer service skills; a sound understanding of the accreditation business and quality principles; a demonstrated capacity to embrace change; proficiency with Windows, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; and excellent organizational abilities and the ability to manage work under pressure.

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Overnight travel is required, including frequent domestic and international travel to industry stakeholder meetings.
