ANAB is a signatory of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) multilateral recognition arrangements. Accreditation bodies around the world typically pursue IAF and ILAC recognition through one of the recognized regional cooperations of these organizations. Recognizing the value of regional information-sharing among members of the accreditation community, ANAB has signed the MRAs of both the InterAmerican Accreditation Cooperation (IAAC) and the Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC). U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service

Based on European Union EC 1774/2002 requirements, pet food production facilities must be approved by APHIS, which approves laboratories accredited by ANAB. Laboratories accredited by ANAB can provide the test reports required in EU pre-inspection packages or with EU certificates.

Recognized accreditor for environmental proficiency test providers for provision of PT samples to laboratories under TNI's NELAP.

IATF 16949:2016 includes very specific language regarding internal calibration activities and laboratory requirements. The explanatory note establishes that third-party ISO/IEC 17025 is accreditation useful in demonstrating the organization's in-house laboratory conformance to the IATF ISO 16949 requirements.
